7-DAY ZAGROS TREKKING TOUR

A long Trek into the Zagros Nomadic lands

Overview

Bakhtiari People

There are different nomadic groups in Iran that one of the most famous of which is the Bakhtiari nomads, who constitute the majority of Iranian nomads, and on this adventurous Iran trip, we will cross a part of the Zagros, which is the home of the Bakhtiari people.

The Bakhtiari people live in the central and southern part of the Zagros mountain range. They move from lower altitudes to a high mountain from early spring to mid-autumn with their families and sheep.

The Bakhtiari nomads belong to the Chaharmahal province, which is mainly in the ZardKouh mountain range and carry out their seasonal movement or migration.

This group has different customs, dialects, and clothing from other groups.

The mission of Zagros trek

In brief ,  the mission of Zagros trek trip/hike is to experience nomadic life, learn their customs, and their way of life by walking in their tents in the heights and slopes of the Zagros mountain range.

for example you will see how women work hard and how children also participate in their work.

This Iran adventure hiking tour is suitable for those who like to hike in a remote area that is not found in any guidebook, blog or website.

As well as on our trip we will visit different nomadic villages and  their simple lifestyle also see their local clothes and possible to taste their food and hang out with them during the night as well as listening to their stories.

These will be part of our experiences on this trip. As we traverse the breathtaking landscapes, you will have the chance to capture stunning photographs of the rugged terrain and the vibrant culture that thrives in these remote areas. Engage in traditional activities such as weaving and herding, and gain insights into the rich heritage of the Bakhtiari people.

What make this trip special ?

In fact this trek is not only about the journey but also it is about forging connections with the land and its people and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

As you walk alongside the nomads, you will witness the harmony between nature and their way of life, where every step tells a story and every sunset paints a canvas of unforgettable moments. Immerse yourself in the sounds of the mountains, the laughter of children, and the warmth of shared meals under the starlit sky.

Without a doubt this is more than a trek; indeed it is an invitation to discover the soul of Iran through the eyes of its nomadic groups.
