Damavand – Alam Kuh – Sabalan trekking tour : If you have enough time for an exciting trip to the mountains of Iran, we suggest you climb the three highest peaks of Iran in one trip. this tour is a unique mountaineering program where you can climb three high and beautiful peaks of Iran in one program.
Three highest peaks of Iran:
Firstly , Mount Damavand (5671 m) , the highest peak in Iran , Highest volcano in Asia.
Secondly , Mount Alamkooh(4850m) , the second highest peak in Iran , it is also named as Alp of Iran.
Thirdly , Mount Sabalan (4811m) , The third highest peak in Iran , a volcano with a beautiful lake on the summit.
Day 1: Drive to Kelardasht – Roudbarak – Vandarbon (2,300m)
Your adventure begins with a drive from Tehran to Kelardasht, a scenic mountain town. From there, we continue to Roudbarak, the last village on our route. A 4WD transfer takes us up rugged mountain roads to Vandarbon refuge (2,300m), a well-equipped lodge where we rest for the night.
- Transfer: Tehran to Roudbarak (5 hours, 190 km)
- Transfer: Roudbarak to Vandarbon (45 min, 15 km)
- Accommodation: Mountain refuge at 2,300m
Day 2: Trek to Hessarchal Plateau (3,770m)
A morning drive brings us to Tang-e-Galu (3,300m), where our trekking begins. A 2-3 hour hike through mesmerizing landscapes leads us to the Hessarchal plain (3,770m), surrounded by towering peaks. Mules transport our heavy gear, allowing us to carry only light daypacks.
- Transfer: Vandarbon to Tang-e-Galu (1.5 hours, 30 km)
- Trekking: 2-3 hours, 470m ascent
- Accommodation: Tent camping at 3,770m
Day 3: Climbing Lashgarak Summit (4,256m)
Today, we ascend Lashgarak Peak (4,256m). The trail includes small streams, snowfields (seasonal), and a final gravel path to the summit. From the top, enjoy breathtaking views of Alamkuh (4,850m) and surrounding peaks.
- Trekking: 5 hours, 486m ascent & descent
- Accommodation: Tent camping at 3,770m
Day 4: Climbing Alamkuh Summit (4,850m)
The ascent of Mount Alamkuh begins early. We follow a non-technical route on rocky and gravel terrain, passing glaciers and snow patches. After 5-6 hours, we reach the summit, where we enjoy panoramic views of the Alborz Mountain Range and distant Mount Damavand. A 3-hour descent takes us back to camp.
- Trekking: 9 hours, 1,080m ascent & descent
- Accommodation: Tent camping at 3,770m
Day 5: Descend to Vandarbon & Drive to the Caspian Sea (Mahmood Abad)
We trek down to Tang-e-Galu (3,500m), then drive to Mahmood Abad on the Caspian Sea coast. In the evening, relax by the beach and enjoy the tranquil seaside atmosphere.
- Transfer: Tang-e-Galu to Vandarbon (1.5 hours, 30 km)
- Transfer: Vandarbon to Mahmood Abad (3 hours, 140 km)
- Accommodation: Hotel by the Caspian Sea
Day 6: Drive to Rineh (2,300m) for Damavand Trek
Enjoy a free morning by the sea before heading towards the mountains. A scenic 2-hour drive takes us to Rineh (2,300m), where we prepare for the Damavand climb.
- Transfer: Mahmood Abad to Rineh (2 hours, 90 km)
- Accommodation: Local guesthouse at 2,300m
Day 7: Ascent to Camp 2 (Bargah 3) (4,250m)
After breakfast, a 4WD ride brings us to Gosfandsara (3,000m). From there, we trek for 4-5 hours to reach Camp 2 (Bargah 3, 4,250m). We acclimatize by climbing up to 4,500m before descending for an overnight stay.
- Trekking: 6-7 hours, 1,250m ascent
- Accommodation: Tent camping at 4,250m
Day 8: Summit Day – Mount Damavand (5,671m) & Return to Camp 2
We start our final ascent at 5:00 AM. The climb is physically demanding but non-technical. After 6-7 hours, we reach the highest point in Iran! Breathtaking views of Tehran, the Caspian Sea, and the Alborz Mountains await. After summit celebrations, we descend back to Bargah 3 for the night.
- Trekking: 10 hours, 1,420m ascent & descent
- Accommodation: Tent camping at 4,250m
Day 9: Return to Rineh & Drive to Tehran
We trek down to Gosfandsara and transfer back to Rineh. Along the way, we visit Kafar Koli, 2,000-year-old caves near Rineh. By evening, we return to Tehran, concluding our adventure.

- Transfer: Rineh to Tehran (2 hours, 90 km)
- Accommodation: Hotel in Tehran
Day1: Arrival Iran via ,Tabriz International airport , sightseeing Tabriz
Day2: Driving from Tabriz to Shabil(2800m) on the foot of mount Sabalan
Day3: Climb to Bargah Hoseeiniy hut (3600m)
Day4: Acclimatization
Day5: Climbing mount Sabalan (4811m , the third highest summit in Iran)
Day6: Driving to Masouleh village and Caspian coast
Day7: Driving in Caspian coast toward Roudbarak village at the foot of mount Alamkuh(4850m , the second highest peak of Iran)
Day8: Trekking to Hesarchal (3750m)
Day9: Acclimatization on some above 4000 meters peaks.
Day10: Ascending mount Alamkuh(4850m , second highest peaks of Iran).
Day11: Driving along Caspian coast toward Reyneh village (2300m) at the foot of Mt. Damavand.
Day12: Ascent to Damavand hut , Bargah3(4260m) .
Day13: Ascent to Mt. Damavand (5671m) .
Day14: Descend and transfer to Tehran
Day15:Tehran sightseeing.

General Terms
- All cancellations must be made in writing and communicated via email to [info@persiatrek.com].
- The effective date of cancellation will be the date the written notice is received.
Cancellation Charges
- More than 60 days before departure:
Full refund . - 59 to 31 days before departure:
50% of the total trip cost will be refunded. - 30 to 15 days before departure:
25% of the total trip cost will be refunded. - 14 days or less before departure:
No refund will be provided.
No-Show Policy
- If the client fails to appear on the day of departure, no refund will be issued.
Force Majeure Clause
- In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond the provider’s control (e.g., natural disasters, political instability, pandemics, or other force majeure events), the provider reserves the right to offer a rescheduling option or partial refund based on recoverable costs.
