Day 1: Transfer to Taleghan & Trek to Domcheh (3350m)

The adventure begins bright and early as we meet you at your accommodation in Tehran. After enjoying a hearty breakfast, we set off on the journey toward Taleghan, a scenic region nestled in the Alborz Mountains. Shortly thereafter, we arrive at the charming foothill village of Parachan, where the hiking adventure officially begins.

To make the trek easier, packs will be loaded onto mules. As we ascend, the trail takes us through breathtaking landscapes, gradually leading us north of Tehran to the Damcheh Pasture. Eventually, at an altitude of 3350 meters above sea level, we will set up camp. From here, you can admire stunning panoramic views of the surrounding peaks.

  • Transfer (Tehran to Taleghan): 2 hours (130 km)
  • Trekking: Ascend approx. 1000m | 5 hours
  • Accommodation: Campsite at 3350m (Tent)

Day 2: Ascent to Mishchal Pass (3800m) & Climb a 4000m Peak

Following a delicious breakfast, the trek continues toward Mishchal Pass, which rises to an impressive 3800 meters. Along the way, we will take short breaks, allowing ample time to enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the mountains.

When we reach Mishchal Pass, it feels as though we’ve entered another world, with views stretching across the majestic Alborz Mountain Range. If traveling during the warmer months, you might even experience the added thrill of walking through patches of snow. From the pass, we’ll ascend one of the nearby 4000-meter peaks. Later, we will descend and proceed to the next campsite.

The route meanders through natural springs and streams, creating ideal spots for rest and relaxation. As evening approaches, you can savor a hot drink while soaking in the serene surroundings of the camp.

  • Trekking: Descend approx. 500m | 2 hours
  • Accommodation: Campsite at 3500m (Tent)

Day 3: Trek to Darjan Village (2050m)

On this final morning in the mountains, we enjoy breakfast before beginning the descent. Along the way, the trail takes us past a natural hot spring, providing a refreshing break. Furthermore, the hike features stunning waterfalls and rivers that eventually lead to the gardens above Darjan Village.

Darjan, a peaceful village in the northern Alborz, marks the end of our trek. Upon arrival, you’ll settle into a local house, where you can experience the warmth and hospitality of the villagers.

  • Trekking: Descend approx. 450m | 4 hours
  • Accommodation: Local House at 2050m

Day 4: Drive to Shahsavar, Caspian Sea & Return to Tehran

After sharing a final breakfast with our hosts, we bid them farewell and begin the drive through the lush forests of Northern Alborz. Eventually, the route leads us to the Caspian Sea, where you can relax and take in the views of the largest inland lake in the world.

Finally, the return journey to Tehran wraps up this unforgettable adventure.
