IRAN DESERT EXPEDITION

15 Days of Discovery and Adventure Through Iran’s Majestic Desert

Overview

Embark on an unforgettable Iran desert expedition through two of the country’s most iconic and mesmerizing landscapes: the Dasht-e Kavir and Dasht-e Lut deserts. Tailored for true adventurers and lovers of vast, silent landscapes, this journey is a dream come true for anyone drawn to the raw beauty of the world’s great deserts.

Traveling across a spectacular variety of terrains—from salt flats and towering sand dunes to deep canyons and snow-capped mountains—you’ll experience the stark, poetic contrasts that define Iran’s desert regions. Along the way, immerse yourself in the cultural richness of the region by exploring timeless desert villages and majestic adobe citadels, including the UNESCO-listed sites of Bam and the mysterious Shahdad Kalouts, the so-called “earth pyramids” that rise from the Lut desert floor.

This 15-day expedition is not just a trek—it’s a cultural and geological odyssey through some of the most remote and awe-inspiring corners of Iran.

Highlights of the Iran Desert Expedition:

  • Explore the legendary desert citadels of Bam (UNESCO) and Rayen, marvels of ancient architecture and desert resilience

  • Witness the surreal formations of the Kalouts in the Shahdad Desert (UNESCO), sculpted over millennia by wind and sand

  • Traverse a dazzling range of landscapes: salt deserts, rolling dunes, narrow canyons, and even snow-covered mountain peaks

  • Enjoy unmatched views throughout the trip with a guaranteed window seat for every traveler
