Guided Mount Ararat Treks

Ararat Trekking Tours in Eastern Turkey

Discover Mount Ararat – 5,165 Meters

Our Ararat Trekking Tours offer the opportunity to explore Mount Ararat, Turkey’s highest mountain at 5,165 meters, in the dramatic landscapes of eastern Turkey. Located close to the borders of Iran and Armenia, Mount Ararat combines a challenging high-altitude ascent with spectacular volcanic scenery and the rich cultural heritage of the region.

From the Mountainside to the Summit

A Mount Ararat trek is not simply a walk to the summit. The route gradually ascends from the lower slopes to high-altitude camps, allowing trekkers to adapt to the increasing elevation. The final ascent normally starts early in the morning from Camp 2, at approximately 4,100 meters.

At these elevations, weather, altitude and changing mountain conditions can make the difference between a successful and unsuccessful summit attempt. Good preparation and experienced mountain guidance are therefore essential.

Experienced International Mountain Guide

I have more than 20 years of experience in mountain activities and have been professionally leading international groups since 2012. My guiding experience covers Iran and, since 2026, Turkey, including Mount Ararat.

I have worked with international guests and European tour operators, guiding groups with different levels of mountain experience and nationalities.

More Than a Summit

Our Ararat Trekking Tours are designed to offer more than a summit ascent. Depending on the itinerary, the journey can also include the landscapes and cultural heritage of eastern Turkey, including Doğubayazıt, Ishak Pasha Palace and the Lake Van region.

For travelers who want to explore more than one of the region’s great mountains, longer itineraries can combine Mount Ararat, Mount Süphan and Mount Artos in a single trekking journey.

Choose Your Ararat Trekking Tour

Whether you are looking for a dedicated Mount Ararat Trekking Tour or a longer adventure combining several peaks of eastern Turkey, you can choose an itinerary based on your experience, available time and personal goals.
